MILLENNIUM PT IS PREPARED FOR COVID-19

To Our Patients,

The safety of our patients, their family members and our staff is of utmost importance to us. Due to the rising level of concern regarding the Coronavirus, also named “SARS-CoV-2”, and the illness it causes, COVID-19, I wanted to inform you of the precautions that we have taken at Millennium Physical Therapy to make it the safest (and most Coronavirus-free) environment possible.

Clinic Sterilization:
Since the very beginning of Millennium Physical Therapy in 2008, we have used a sterilization product on every surface and every item that a person may come in contact with from the front door handles to the bathroom fixtures to the resistive bands and weights to the treatment tables to the pillow cases and towels and everything in between. What is unique about this product is that it bonds to surfaces and continually kills (on contact) viruses (including the Coronavirus), microorganism, bacteria, mold, mildew, etc. to ensure a germ-free and safe environment in our clinic. When the manufacturer first tested this sterilizing product, it maintained sterile surfaces for 10 years at the Northwestern University Football workout facility and athletic training room after just one application. We have always applied that product every year, and now we are using it every week…just for over-kill and for our patients’ peace of mind. You will also see our staff applying a disinfectant/cleaner designed to accompany the sterilization product which also kills viruses and bacteria, but that is not to make the surfaces sterile—they are already sterile—it is simply to remove any dirt.

Air filtration:
We also have additional air purifiers with HEPA filters around the clinic to ensure that the air quality is as clean as possible and free of any viruses or bacteria (coverage for 2.5 times our actual square footage in the clinic).

Crowd control:
We have reconfigured the clinic treatment area and tables for proper spacing between patients. We have also changed our therapists’ appointment schedules to decrease the total number of people in the clinic at one time. Additionally, we are not allowing visitors in the facility in order to reduce the total number of individuals in the facility at any one time.

Masks:
All staff and patients are required to wear a face masks at all times in the clinic. If a patient does not have their own, one will be provided at no cost to the patient to use while in the clinic.

Hand Sanitizer:
We have several hand sanitizer stations around the clinic which are available to all patients and staff to ensure that there is no transmission of germs from contaminated hands.

The safety of our patients is a primary concern, and you are worth the investment! We believe that Millennium Physical Therapy is the most germ-free, coronavirus-free environment for physical therapy in the state of Alabama.
